Ghislaine Maxwell found GUILTY in sex trafficking trial

Ghislaine, a former British socialite has been found guilty in her sex trafficking trial. Ghislaine Maxwell was arrested back in July 2020 for involvement in her ex-boyfriend Jeffrey Epstein's sexual abuse of young teenage girls.


Jeffrey Epstein who was a convicted sex offender counted Prince Andrew and former President Bill Clinton as cronies before killing himself in jail about a month following his sex-trafficking arrest.


Maxwell faced 6 charges for her involvement with Jeffrey Epstein and her helping to recruit teenage girls to be sexually abused. Ghislaine pleaded not guilty to the charges. On the sixth day after 40 hours of jury deliberation, she was found guilty on 5 of the 6 charges.


Ghislaine Maxwell was found guilty of the following charges:


Count one: Conspiracy to entice a minor to travel to engage in illegal sex acts, which carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison.


Count three: Conspiracy to transport a minor with the intent to engage in criminal sexual activity, which carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison.


Count four: Transporting a minor with the intent to engage in criminal sexual activity, which carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.


Count five: Conspiracy to commit sex trafficking of minors, which carries a statutory maximum sentence of five years in prison.


Count six: Sex trafficking of minors, which carries a statutory maximum of 40 years in prison.


Maxwell was found not guilty on count two: enticing a minor to travel to engage in illegal sex acts.


"A unanimous jury has found Ghislaine Maxwell guilty of one of the worst crimes imaginable -- facilitating and participating in the sexual abuse of children," U.S. Attorney Damian Williams said in a statement after the verdict. "I want to commend the bravery of the girls -- now grown women -- who stepped out of the shadows and into the courtroom. Their courage and willingness to face their abuser made this case, and today's result, possible."
"This Office will always stand with victims, will always follow the facts wherever they lead, and will always fight to ensure that no one, no matter how powerful and well connected, is above the law," Williams also added.

Ghislaine Maxwell is looking at up to 65 years in prison.
