Day 3 of the Freedom Convoy has begun and over 50,000 trucks are currently on route to Ottawa. The movement, which began in protest of the federal vaccination mandates has taken the internet by storm and millions of Canadians are supporting the fight.

Canadian's around the country have all united to fight against the mandatory vaccination policies and heavy-handed government control. A GoFundMe page was created on January 14th in support of the movement and has accumlated over $4.5 million dollars within the past 12 days.

Since then, the GoFundMe fundraising platform has temporarily stopped the organization from using the money from the fundraiser. The money, which was being used by the organization to pay for fuel, food, and lodging for the truck drivers is on hold. The money is being with held until documentation with a spending plan has been presented by the organziation.

The GoFundMe platform stated the following in an email with CTV news,

“We require that fundraisers be transparent about the flow of funds and have a clear plan for how those funds will be spent,” - Rachel Hollis, GoFundMe’s director of communications

Tamara Lich the creator of the GoFundMe page has acknowledged that the money is on hold in a video found on the Freedom Convoy's Facebook page. The convoy organization is working with GoFundMe to provide the documentation needed in order to gain access to the money.

“When they’re scared, the first thing they’re going to try to do is come after your money. And when that doesn’t work, they’re going to try and shut us down.” “Trust me, we got this covered,” Lich said

The Freedom Convoy Facebook page has also put out a message clearing up any miscommunications and false narratives surrounding the movement and their organization.
